I’ve been looking online at various multifunction printers and their reviews. I would like an overall good printer for my home office. I like the hp photo printers because they also have negative/slide scanners included (and I’d like to make digital copies of all the photos from the past 20-30 years). I like the canon printers because they come with very small ink droplet sizes (as small as 1 picoliter). I haven’t seen other printers with as small, which means that the canons should have better photo print quality. I have been reading reviews, but there are lots of people who like and dislike all of them. The requirements I have are: good photo quality, good text quality, multifunction, pictbridge compatible. I’d love to hear your opinions and experience. Thanks.

I need to get a multifunctional printer , i am willing to pay up to £80.
I only want it for occasional printing and mainly for scanning in photos etc.
I notice that some are costly on inks,some take several colour inks etc
I was looking at the new Kodak range,they seem cost effective but i am concerned that the inks are not widely available. Can anyone please advise ? Thanks for any help.
ps, Will the inks dry up if not used regularly ?
I see multipurpose -printer-scanners offering color photo resolutions ranging from 9600×2400 dpi down to, say, 2400×1200 with the corresponding scanner resolution ranging from 4800×2400 to 600×400.dpi I am confused by the difference between the photo and scanner resolutions. A 10mp camera adds to my confusion.
Sometimes I move my photos from my camera directy to my computer for editing and then printing. But sometimes I have photos printed by a third party, Walgreens. etc. In the later case, if I am not satisfied with a photo, I will scan the photo into my computer for editing and then print the edited (Walgreen’s) on my printer. Most photos I print are 4×6 but sometimes I want larger photos. Given my 10 mp camera, what combination of camer and scanner resolutions would be best?
I am looking to buy a color scanner and printer to print and scan photos. What is a good brand, and what info am I looking for? I see some show what the resolution is? what should that be?
The printer I have now causes my photos to look a little grainy and not crisp. I have read some product reviews online,but would like to get suggestions from personal use.
I work in a small office, but we spend a lot of ink with our HP inkjet multifunction printer, so we’re looking for a new one with laser technology. We were also wondering if these printers print photos in photo paper, which is one of the main features we’re looking for, besides saving money on ink. The best thing I’ve seen out there is the Brother MFC-9840CDW.

I don’t need any extra bundled software, or the ability to print from memory cards or view photos on the scanner/printer. I don’t need to print photos often and will rarely use special paper. I don’t want to be stuck buying expensive ink cartridges – or having to refill them too often. Is there a perfect printer for me? Thanks.
