.. Alright so I am buying a late Christmas gift for some friends of mine, who have just come back from London. They have no printer, but have expressed how much they need one. They would like an all-in-one/multifunction printer WITH A FAX. I cannot decide whether to buy HP’s brand of all-in-one printers, or Brother.
.. I currently have an HP and have only gone through 2 over 6 years, have been pretty decent quality, but have had some problems. I would probably purchase an HP, but there are no "latest" models that have all four features (Fax, Printer, Scanner, Copier). All the HP models that have those 4 features are older, and outdated. If I had to settle for 3 for them (W/O a fax), then I will, but I was really hoping to get them the works..
.. I have never used a Brother printer, but I have been reading very great reviews. There are numerous models that have all the 4 features I was looking for, but I do not know how fast they print, or even more importantly the print quality (Even if a little slow, they can deal for high quality/resolution). My limit for a printer is around 0.00, and the Brother printers I have been looking at are; MFC-6490CW, MFC-990CW, MFC-885CW, MFC-5890CN, MFC-790CW, MFC-685CW, MFC-490CW, or one of the sorts. I would probably go with the MFC-6490CW..
.. So any recommendations on which brand produces a better multifunction printer would be greatly appreciated..

I need to get a all-in-one printer/scanner/copier, but from the info I’ve already heard some can be pretty expensive to run and some unreliable. I know they can be bought pretty cheap now, but I’m reluctant to go with HP, as my computer is HP/Compaq and to be brutally honest HP Technical Support are unbelievably dumb/stupid and incompetent?? I was going to buy a Brother?

i just got a new scanner. those hp printer photo kind where its a printer scanner copier and stuff. im tring to scan a document so it would come up on the computer so i can photoshop it and change the words. yeah how do i do this

I have a HP Photosmart C4480 All-In-One (Printer-Scanner-Copier)
It’ll make copies and print perfectly, but it’s hell to try and get it to scan a full picture. Any time I put something down to scan, it only scans part. It won’t scan the full page or something.
No matter how I turn it or move it, I can’t get the thing to scan the full paper. Any Help?

I think I may have accidentally uninstalled something that enables me to install my printer/scanner/copier onto my computer. Everytime I’ve tried it, it’ll finish installing and then tell me ‘Software installation incomplete’ and when I try to install it, again it tells me I have to uninstall it first. Uninstall it? It told me it wasn’t installed. I haven’t made a back-up disc, yet… What can I do to get my printer to install on my computer?

I purchased a lexmark all in one printer and even with the help of technical support was not able to get it functioning. The tech said they have trouble with all their printers and windows vista. I need a printer/scanner/copier for low volume business work. I am looking at the lower $ end of the scale. Any suggestions as to which one to try next?

How do I install my Epson Printer-Scanner-Copier?
I reinstalled windows and tried to install the 3-in-one Epson but couldn’t. It’s a Stylus CX3500. I installed the setup program on the CD and it was installed. But the printer-scanner-copier isn’t recongnized by Windows (XP). It’s like it isn’t there at all. What could be the problem? How should I install it? By the way I am only installing the scanner driver because that’s the only one I use. I don’t use the printer.
