I am going to purchase an HP multifunction printer (Over Brother) based on my personal experiences with HP. I want the latest models for Inkjet all-in-one printers (With a fax, though if the printer is better quality and doesn’t have a fax, that is fine then). I want high quality, excellent print output, can even be a little slow and loud, just as long as it prints amazing, and has all the features. If it has a fax, that would be even better. Any 2008 models released this year, or even 2007?
- Also, I was wondering what the costs were for replacing the ink cartridges. I currently have an older PSC model that uses only 2 ink cartridges, no need for the separate magenta, cyan, and yellow. How long do those cartridges last (I heard they are expensive and don’t last long, which is almost what made me chose a Brother MFC).
- Do any of the printers printer as high quality as the Canon Pixma line?
Well my old printer broke yesterday the old one was a hp photosmart 2575v..it was great for those 3 long years… i just love hp printers.. so i went to walmart and found the cheapest and best printer they had.. notice i said cheapest and best… I love this printer.. looks much cooler than my old one..and prints better… keep tabs for the review..

I’m looking for a color all-in-one/multi-function printer (printer, copier, fax machine, and scanner) with an automatic document feeder and a glass (or whatever it’s made of) flatbed. I need something that’s not too large. We currently have a Canon MultiPASS F50, and while it’s a fantastic machine, we think it might not be a bad idea to begin looking at newer products. I need to know if it’s better to get a color inkjet printer or a color laser printer (this printer has to be color). On average, I usually print black-and-white Word documents (usually 50 pages per week), but do print in color often (aound 10 pages/week). What type would be more cost-effective to get? Any input is greatly appreciated, as are links to expert opinions. (While you can suggest printer models, all I really want is to know if it’s better to get inkjet or laser.)

Okay, I’ll admit it: I’m not really looking for a new printer. I’m doing this for requirement 1 of the Personal Management merit badge, which involves planning for purchasing something that would be considered a major expense. Also, we have a good Brother B/W laser printer (only printer functionality), but that’s on the other side of the room (while we do have a USB cable, it would be too much work to hook it up to this desktop; we use it with the desktop near it and with laptops, but I like the idea . But, assuming I didn’t have any printer at all, would it be more cost-effective to buy 2 printers? If it’s only (as per yisgood), that might be a very good idea.
Apparently these new printers are WIRELESS and in only costs 9.99 and 14.99 for color cartridges. Does anyone own any of these printers.

I own a brand new canon mp130 printer/scanner and have had it for over a year and a half. I have not been able to configure it correctly since I purchased it. My original warranty is expired, I have tried to download the drivers from both the orginal cd software as well as trying directly from the canonusa website.
There is some kind of usb conflict that I have been trying to understand and I am at my wit’s end trying to do it. Seems ashame to throw this beautiful looking machine in the trash, but it is as good as a heavy paper weight. The reason I bought it was because their cameras are so well made and user friendly. I will NEVER buy another of their printers however. I’ve tried all the configurations Canon has in their support and installed, reinstalled both the drivers and the software on so many occassions I could do it blindfolded.Does anyone know what I might be missing here?

I was thinking of getting the Dell Wireless All-In-One Printer 966 or the Brother Network-Ready Multifunction Printer/ Copier/ Scanner/ Fax/ PhotoCapture Center. But I dont know which one is better. Can you tell me what you think of the two printers, and if you have one can you tell me your review about how easy, hard, it is, and the problems. I want one that is wireless for my Dell XPS M1710, and one that it good for printing, coping, and scanning, and I will use it for small buisness, so also a fax machine. I have a canon mx300 all in one printer/scanner. It prints fine but for some reason, I can’t scan anything, I’m assuming it’s because I don’t have to software, so what can I do to get it to scan? Sorry I don’t know much about printers:)
Somewhere I read the quality of printers have improved since 2000. However, when I look online for refurbished printers there is no product manufactor date.
I purchased a lexmark all in one printer and even with the help of technical support was not able to get it functioning. The tech said they have trouble with all their printers and windows vista. I need a printer/scanner/copier for low volume business work. I am looking at the lower $ end of the scale. Any suggestions as to which one to try next?
Are the all-in-one fax/ printers/ scanners which use a pc modem to accept faxes any good? Are users of these happy with them?
The cheaper allinones are inkjet, do these still function ok? Or should I pay the extra money and get a laser printer all in one?
My computer will be online for more than 12 hours a day.Are the faxes that use a direct telephone line better? I need an answering machine as well. I want to send good quality faxes.
I work in a small office, but we spend a lot of ink with our HP inkjet multifunction printer, so we’re looking for a new one with laser technology. We were also wondering if these printers print photos in photo paper, which is one of the main features we’re looking for, besides saving money on ink. The best thing I’ve seen out there is the Brother MFC-9840CDW.
