I lost the plug in so i could turn it on how much is a plug and where to buy it HP – Deskjet Multifunction Printer/ Copier/ Scanner
I’m looking for a color all-in-one/multi-function printer (printer, copier, fax machine, and scanner) with an automatic document feeder and a glass (or whatever it’s made of) flatbed. I need something that’s not too large. We currently have a Canon MultiPASS F50, and while it’s a fantastic machine, we think it might not be a bad idea to begin looking at newer products. I need to know if it’s better to get a color inkjet printer or a color laser printer (this printer has to be color). On average, I usually print black-and-white Word documents (usually 50 pages per week), but do print in color often (aound 10 pages/week). What type would be more cost-effective to get? Any input is greatly appreciated, as are links to expert opinions. (While you can suggest printer models, all I really want is to know if it’s better to get inkjet or laser.)

Okay, I’ll admit it: I’m not really looking for a new printer. I’m doing this for requirement 1 of the Personal Management merit badge, which involves planning for purchasing something that would be considered a major expense. Also, we have a good Brother B/W laser printer (only printer functionality), but that’s on the other side of the room (while we do have a USB cable, it would be too much work to hook it up to this desktop; we use it with the desktop near it and with laptops, but I like the idea 
. But, assuming I didn’t have any printer at all, would it be more cost-effective to buy 2 printers? If it’s only (as per yisgood), that might be a very good idea.
I’ve recently bought a hp officejet j4550 all in one printer. Although, the printer works, the scanner has doesn’t recently. Every time I tries to scan its says, "There is no computer connection. Refer to device documentation to troubleshoot." I’ve tried everything unplugging, restarting, it and the computer. The computer is also an Hp. It worked awhile ago but I don’t know what happened. I tried reinstalling it but it says that I need to plug the printer to the computer property. I plugged them in again & again property, but not working out. Please what should I do.?
I jut got this Lexmark machine along with Lexshould restart the mark Imaging Studios, and it wont scan!! It says that i should restart the computer, and restart the scanner… i have done it 5 times already, and i still get that "sorry, your image did not scan" phrase all over again!!!

I have a hewlitt packard deskjet 695C,and a paperport 3100. I dont have anymore plugs in the back of my tower. So i am wondering if i just hook the printer up to the scanner, and the scanner to the tower. Please advise…

I have a dell printer that can copy, fax and scan. I want to scan a file onto the computer for school, but I dont have it installed on the computer. I try to install the wizard thingy but it says I need a camera to be connected and stuff. before I had my computer reformatted I could do this because it was already on here. but now I cant and I wanna know how to install the scanner thingy without the use of having a camera.
I have a mac and installed snow leopard. about a month later i changed the ink in my HP C3180 all-in-one printer. now every time i turn it on, it prints a test page (big waste of ink). when i put the test page in the scanner to "align" it (thats what apparently stops the needless printing of test pages), it wont scan. i click scan and the light just blinks. i hooked it up to my mac and opened the app that came with HP, called scan pro, and that says ‘no scanner detected’. the only conclusion i can come up with is that switching to snow leopard ruined my ability to scan and theres no hp driver in snow leopard? i scanned stuff just fine before i had snow leopard. but my main question is how do i get the printer to stop printing annoying test pages that take 2mn to print and is a waste of ink?

I do not need fax functionality as I have no landline. Printer and scanner part are a must
We have a colour printer, but want one with a scanner. I don’t want a really expensive one, and so cost of ink refills and the ink the printer uses is a big factor. Can anyone recommend a good quality, low expense brand? Thanks.
A friend gave me a Lexmark 1150 printer/lasor scanner,but had lost the softwear to start it up,Is there any site I can download the program? Can I buy the soft wear?
How can I get my printer scanner working?
I just got a new computer and I am having problems scaning on my printer. I downloaded the software from lexmark.com for my lexmark x2500 printer. everything works on the printer except for the scanner. When i am scaning I hit the scan button and the document show up on the computer and just before it finishes a window pops up saying I need a ocr software installed. Anyone know what I need to do? How can I get the ocr software installed? Thanks
